Sergeant Bluff-Luton Community School Foundation Scholarship

Final Determinations: Mid-April

PURPOSE: The purpose of the scholarship program is to assist Sergeant Bluff-Luton graduating high school seniors in their pursuit of a post-secondary education. Scholarships are available for:

• students pursuing any post-secondary trade, associate, or academic degree / certification
• students specifically pursuing a 2 year associate degree or trade school certification

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Applicants must be graduating seniors from Sergeant Bluff-Luton High School in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa with a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 (out of 4.0).

SELECTION CRITERIA: Selection of recipients is based on such factors as scholastic performance while in high school, good character, participation in extracurricular school activities, community service, leadership, work history, financial need, and essay evaluation.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD: Minimum of $2,000, not renewable.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Application must be received by the February 1 deadline and must include the following:
• Completed online application
• Essay
• Official high school transcript
