Robert Larson Family Scholarship

BACKGROUND: The Robert Larson Family Scholarship was established in 2018 by family. They established this endowed scholarship to honor their father and his passion for music.
PURPOSE: The purpose of the scholarship program is to assist graduating North, East or West High School senior music majors in their pursuit of a post-secondary education at an accredited college/university.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Applicants must be graduating seniors from East High School in Sioux City, Iowa; North High School in Sioux City, Iowa; or West High School in Sioux City, Iowa and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Applicants must be majoring in vocal or instrumental music, or music education. Preference will be given to vocal music majors.
SELECTION CRITERIA: Selection of recipients is based on such factors as scholastic performance while in high school, participation in music, extracurricular school activities, and essay evaluation.
SCHOLARSHIP AWARD: minimum $5,000, not renewable.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Application must be received by the February 1 deadline and must include the following:
• Completed online application
• Essay
• Official high school transcript
