Baker/Suter Services Scholarship

PURPOSE: The purpose of the scholarship is to assist Sergeant Bluff-Luton graduating high school seniors in their pursuit of a post-secondary education in a field related to the mechanical contracting industry.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Applicants must be graduating seniors from Sergeant Bluff-Luton High School in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa with a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 (out of 4.0). Students must be pursuing a post-secondary trade, associate, or academic degree/certification in a field related to or benefiting the mechanical contracting industry (heating/cooling/etc.).

SELECTION CRITERIA: Selection of recipients is based on such factors as good character, participation in extracurricular school activities, work history, and essay evaluation.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD:  $1,000, not renewable.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Application must be received by the February 1 deadline and must include the following:
• Completed online application
• Essay
• Official high school transcript
