Hawarden Community Foundation Awards 2024 Grants
The Hawarden Community Foundation (HCF), an affiliate of the Siouxland Community Foundation, awarded grants totaling over $79,000 to local nonprofits and government entities.
“The Hawarden Community Foundation has provided over $1.33 million in grants since the inception of the endowment in 1988. What a wonderful benefit this has been for our community,” said Cheryl Ten Napel, HCF Advisory Board Chair
This year’s grant presentation was scheduled to take place during the Block Party on July 18 but due to the unprecedented flooding the event was cancelled. The 2024 Hawarden Community Foundation grants have been awarded to the following organizations:
American Legion Post 254 Two Oaks – Avenue of Flags – $7,500.00
City of Hawarden – Summer Rec Program – $250.00
Hawarden Fire & Ambulance Association, Inc. – Rehab Trailer Improvements – $6,000.00
Hawarden Historical Society – Calliope Village – Paint Veterans Museum – $3,456.00
Hawarden Parks and Recreation – Pickleball Courts – $25,000.00
Hawarden Regional Healthcare – Functional Fitness Group – $2,662.00
Hawarden Regional Healthcare – Bioness Integrated Therapy System – $15,000.00
Sioux County Conservation – Prairie Woods Nature Center Amphitheater – $20,000.00
