BACKGROUND: The Tristate Graduate Center Scholarship is administered by the Siouxland Community Foundation headquartered in Sioux City, Iowa. This scholarship fund was established in 2015 from the Tristate Graduate Center endowment fund upon the Center’s dissolution.

PURPOSE: The purpose of the scholarship program is to assist Siouxland area non-traditional students that are enrolled in a Master of Social Work program.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Applicant must be a Siouxland area college/university non-traditional student enrolled in a MSW program at or through an accredited college/university within a 100 mile radius of Sioux City, IA. Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 (out of 4.0) in college.

SELECTION CRITERIA: Selection of recipients is based on such factors as scholastic performance, school and/or community service activities, work history, financial need, and essay evaluation.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD: $1,000, not renewable but a student may reapply yearly if they meet the eligibility criteria.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Application must be received by the November 1 deadline and must include the following:

• Completed online application
• Essay
• Copy of college transcript
• Copy of class registration
